Sherryl R. Stalinski, M.A.
Executive Director

Sherryl Stalinski has nearly 20 years of executive leadership experience in development, management and communications in both corporate and non-profit environments, working primarily in start-up and growth situations. Sherryl co-founded and continues to manage research and programs for the Aurora Now Foundation as its Executive Director. Most recently, she completed a consulting charter through Aurora Now working with the partnership team of ARC Worldwide, a leadership training and personal development seminar company based in Denver, CO. There, Sherryl helped launch the U.S. start-up of the company's former Asian operations.

Previously, Sherryl was CEO and majority stockholder of a commercial printing and advertising firm, which she owned and operated for nearly fifteen years with her favorite business partner: her husband, Patrick. As an award-winning graphic designer, she also worked as creative director for an international Internet company and as an independent communications consultant and designer for both print and internet media. Sherryl is also an accomplished writer, freelancing for various projects and publications. She served for nearly three years as managing editor of the Windstar Vision, and later Communications Director for the Windstar Foundation, founded by singer/songwriter and social activist John Denver and Aikido master and noted author, Tom Crum. She is the author of Creating Futures: A Systems View of Transformation for our Organizations, Communities and World, and Designing for Integrity: A Process Guide for Organizational Strategic Visioning and Planning, both published by the Aurora Now Foundation.

In the early 1990s, Sherryl was an Athena Leadership Award nominee, was listed in Who's Who Among Rising Young Americans twice, and also 2000 Notable American Women and has served on the boards of several non-profit organizations. Additionally, she served for ten years as director and an executive board member of a Chamber of Commerce serving nine cities and over 1000 member businesses in metropolitan Detroit. She was a member of, and briefly a director for, the Detroit chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners, and served for several years on the advisory boards of two prestigious performing arts ensembles in Detroit. Currently, she is a research fellow of the International Systems Institute and a member of the International Society for the Systems Sciences. Her work has been published by research and education organizations in the U.S. and internationally.

In 2001, she was one of only 1100 individuals individuals from 50 countries around the world representing leadership in government, corporations, universities and non-governmental agencies to participate in the surveys which make up the 2001 State of the Future Report, produced by The Millennium Project of the American Council for the United Nations University, and through Aurora Now, she participates in the United Nations Global Compact for business.

Sherryl holds a B.A. in Management & Communications and an M.A. in Organizational Development and is currently completing a certificate in e-learning and web-based training development.
